Corporate
Governance - how the Sarbanes-Oxley Act protects investors
interests.
Some investors
have had their faith in Corporate Governance shaken due to a couple
of key corporate fall outs. Investors deserve to know that when
officers of companies report financial data to us that the highest
levels of disclosure and accountability are followed. I for one,
feared that cases like Enron and WorldCom were just the tip of
the iceberg. It was a pleasant surprised that in these months
that followed, these few cases of "cooking the books" or manipulative
and deceptive accounting practices didn't escalate.
Never the
less, I am comforted that the government stepped in and addressed
the severity of this crime, making misrepresentative accounting
practices more punishable.

Here is
a series of interviews that I have conducted on Mutual Fund
Managers to get their take on the economy. These articles were
published for a trade magazine for other professional financial
advisors. Never the less, you may find the managers insights
useful.
